HALLOWEEN

Halloween (also spelled Hallowe'en) is an annual holiday celebrated on October 31. It has roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain and the Christian holy day of All Saints. It is largely a secular celebration but some have expressed strong feelings about perceived religious overtones.
The day is often associated with the colors black and orange, and is strongly associated with symbols like the jack-o'-lantern. Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, wearing costumes and attending costume parties, ghost tours, bonfires, visiting haunted attractions, pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films.

First, we need to recruit our friends, is better to be a group. You will be four friends at least. It´s funnier the characters of your favourite horror film. A great group is the Adams family.
Now you need to make a route with the streets you will take. Always you have to ring the houses of your neighbours, friends or family. You won´t never knock to a stranger house.

The word "Halloween" is a contraction of the English expression "All Hallow's Eve". Literally means "Eve of All Saints".
Halloween comes from the Celts and Romans. The Romans called the festival Feralia dedicated to relaxation and peace of the dead, making sacrifices, and raising various prayers to pagan gods.
But before, and Celtic peoples of Ireland, Wales, Scotland and northern France, celebrated the festival called Samhain. Samhain or La Samon was a festival that occurred between late October and early November, a rite that was celebrated the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. The druids, Celtic priests or shamans authentic, believed that in a given night, October 31, the witches had greater vitality.
Mid-eighteenth century, Irish immigrants began to arrive to America. With them came their culture, folklore, traditions, Halloween ... At first Halloween suffers severe repression by the authorities of New England, established the Lutheran tradition. But in the late nineteenth century, the United States receive a new wave of immigrants of Celtic origin. The Halloween party in America, other beliefs are mixed with Indian and colonial in the sequel, Halloween traditions includes ghost story telling (telling of ghost stories) and performing antics (mischief-making), jokes ( fortunes) or traditional dances. People are beginning to make costumes (Disguise) or costumes for Halloween.
Thus, in the United States, Halloween, evolving and ignores the Christian tradition. Halloween night turns into a faint aura of mystery with, witches, ghosts, goblins, spirits, but without losing the festive mood and the mood. A night of sweets, jokes, costumes and horror movies, lost and atavistic fears of the old Irish ancestors.
I like to celebrate Halloween, because I enjoy with my friends. The people give us candy.
It´s very fun!

Children wear costumes and they go to people's homes saying "Trick or treat!" to ask for candy and then the people give it to them.

This comes from a threat.

Halloween is a party very fun. Its origin is from a Celtic festival, know as Samhain.
The people wearing costumes because the ancien Celts believed that with the coming of Samhain, comes spirits. For that the bads spirits don't take away, they made rituals with fires and dressed up for being confused with them and don't take them.
This party celebrates the 31st October, and I very like it.
The Spanish people have taked this party from the U.S.A.
Halloween is as world full of mythological and you can dream with your dead of your family.
As is typical, you can request candies and sweets. A typical phrase is " trick or treat".
Some characteristic of Halloween is that is related with beings that express evil.

Typical activities include the famous Halloween trick or treating and costume parties, in addition to the bonfires, visiting haunted houses, jokes, reading scary stories and viewing horror films.
Originally Trick or Treat (in English "Trick-or-treat") was a popular legend of Celtic origin, according to which not only the spirits of the dead were free to roam the earth on Halloween night, but all kinds of entities from all the spiritual realms.
Today, children dress for the occasion and walk through the streets demanding candy door to door. After knocking on the door children uttered the phrase "trick or treat" "trick or sweet" or "naughty or sweet" (from the English trick or treat). If adults give them candy, money or any other type of reward, is interpreted to have accepted the deal. If instead they refuse, the boys spend a little joke, the most common throw eggs or shaving foam against the door.

Halloween
Halloween, Anglo-Saxon name applied to the celebration on the night of October 31 preceding the Christian feast of All Saints Day.
It is believed that the practices associated with Halloween originated among the ancient Druids, who believed that night Saman, the lord of death, caused the hosts of evil spirits. . Among the ancient Celts, Halloween was the last night of the year and was regarded as a propitious time for examining the portents of the future. The Celts also believed that the spirits of the dead returned to their earthly homes on that night. The Romans, having conquered Britain, they added to Halloween features of the harvest festival on November 1 in honor of Pomona, goddess of fruits.
Druid tradition of lighting fires on Halloween survived until modern times in Scotland and Wales, and the presence of ghosts and witches is still common in all the celebrations of Halloween. Surviving remnants of the harvest festival in the habit, common in the United States and Britain, playing with some fruit. Of similar origin is the use of carved gourds to represent grotesque faces and light a candle placed inside. Today, the Halloween party, which has spread to many countries outside the Anglo-Saxon customs, is to dress up as 'evil spirit' and take to the streets or a private party. The children, who are the most enjoy it, dress up and trick-out fruit and neighbors, if they refuse to give them candy, children will make some mischief, usually very inocente.

''HALLOWEEN''

Halloween means "All Hallow's eve", the word comes from Old English, and that means "Eve of All Saints", and referred to the night of October 31st, the eve of the Feast of All Saints. However, the old Anglo-Saxon habit has stolen her strict religious sense to hold in place the night of horror, of witches and ghosts.
The celebration of Halloween began with the Celts, ancient inhabitants of Eastern Europe, West and part of Asia Minor. Among them lived the Druids, priests, pagan worshipers of trees, especially oak. They believed in the immortality of the soul, which they said was introduced into another individual to leave the body, but on October 31 he returned to his old home to seek food for their inhabitants, who were obliged to make provision for it.
On 31 October night, in the countries of Anglo-Saxon culture or Celtic heritage, we celebrate the eve of the feast of All Saints, with a whole scenery reminded that before the dead, then with the arrival of Christianity to souls in Purgatory, and now have become the belief in witches, ghosts and other night creatures.
Today, this day is celebrated in many parts of the world.
I celebrate Halloween with my friends. We do a party, we dressed up and we go to some houses to ask for candy.
I like Halloween, although it isn’t a Spanish tradition.
